Sin City

Flying to Las Vegas, Sunday, December 9, 2012...and back Saturday, December 15, 2012.

'What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.' But, there are some highlights, from my short week of vacation, I want and can still share with you.

1 - Air Canada is a MAJOR FAIL. It is definitely the last time I do business with them. From now on, I don't even want to hear the name. They would charge you 25$CAD for a luggage (I mean, who would travel without at least one luggage?) + 26.50$USD for the same luggage (ridiculous, who would bring but not bring back their luggage?), they let you starve and freeze for the entire 5 hours flight unless you pay, and service attitude is horrible.

2 - MGM Grand Signature is a private resort. Everything is nice, but a little far from the strip and costly (we had to pay 168$USD/room at check-out for 'service fees').

3 - American SAs provide excellent services, which makes everything more pleasant. Always a smile on the face, polite, know their products, and not intimidating you while you're trying to shop quietly.

4 - Not a suitable place for young children and people with weak lungs. All those creatures sitting in the casinos, either at the tables or in front of the machines, are smoking non-stop. At some point, I felt like I got cancer.

5 - The city is beautiful. No matter where you go, there are so much to see you're afraid to miss something.

6 - Foooood. Good food is everywhere. They give you big yummy portions at reasonable prices. Thus, eating in Montreal feels like restaurants are stealing money from my wallet.

7 - I spent way too much money there. The thing is you keep spending without knowing how much you spent. Everthing's so gorgeous and taxes are so low that you would feel guilty not to buy. Seriously, I spent nearly 200$USD in Caesars Palace/Shania's gift shop and another 200$USD in Sugar Factory for candies and................

8 - Streets, casinos and malls are crowded no matter what time you go out, but extreme and unbelievably CLEAN.

9 - Bathrooms are actually stylish, clean and smell good. Couldn't resist on drinking more water to visit their bathrooms more often...or just go even if I don't have to. Honestly, visiting public bathrooms had become one of my favorite activities in Vegas.

10 - Biggest blast of the week ~ I finally got to see Shania Twain: Still The One on 12.12.12.
Got to say that she hasn't lost one bit of her talent. She totally rocked the Colosseum...I have nothing to critisize, but to praise. The stage, her entrance (on a horse-shaped motorcycle), special effects, her voice, song choices, atmosphere, interaction with the public, her horses, clothing style, etc. etc. It was just magical/phenomenal/fabulous/fantastic/stunning/legendary.

...and Faith Hill & Tim McGraw: Soul2Soul on 14.12.2012.
Just by chance, I found out that they are also giving a concert while I'm staying in Vegas, so...in one trip, I get to see my two favorite country/pop singers. Mwahahahah!!!

Generally speaking, they are awesome and sweet as always. The beauty of their swagger just captivated my attention from beginning till end. Plus, Faith Hill's dresses and suits are breathtaking. Oh! Oh! Almost forgot to mention that a lucky bastard got Tim Mcgraw's guitar with him signing it on the stage. So jealous.

[Please notice that both concerts are respectively performed in my two favorite Hotels, Caesars Palace and The Venetian.]

11 - Took advantage of the hotel's hot salt-water swimming pool and the jacuzzi in our suite.

12 - Coincidentally, during our stay, there was the rodeo finale, which brings an extra flavour to the experience.

Unfortunately, all good things come to an end, and fast. I'm already back to reality...back to work.

PS. After this trip, I've seen all my favorite singers (Sally Yeh, Celine Dion, Shania Twain and Faith Hill) on stage...with my very own eyes. HOURA!!! Well, I'm maybe missing Cheryl Cole and Sammi Cheng, but I can live with that.

PS2. If anyone is interested in going, I'm considering it for a second time. Afterall, Shania has a 2 years residency at Caesars Palace. ^_^

Yo No Comprendo

Life is so complex that it's perfectly normal if a simple human being like myself don't find an explanation to all. But...

Most recently, multiple things are tormenting the little quietly-sleeping meat trapped between my ears. Siiiiiigh! I hope to have the freedom to tell you everything in detail, but I might get into trouble (like last year) if I do. [Have no clue why I can't talk about my life in my personal space. *exhales of desperation* Not like if I'm lying or accusing others of things they haven't done. Tsk! My suggestion to you, don't do anything you don't want people to talk about.] So, I'll try to be brief and subtle.

How can I possibly go to work if I'm on vacation (the one you personally approved)? Either you don't do your job correctly or you're a complete idiot who don't deserve to get paid.

I'm scheduled to start at 0630 and you call me at 0600 hoping I'm still home so you can ask me to start at 0730 instead? Is this a joke? Even if I'm not already out of the house, I would be already up, so what's your point? Pffff!!! And the moment I got there (at 0615), you tell me to stick around till 0730 to start working? Well~ Let me give you two words. No way. Certainly not after the attitude you showed.

Why can't I read or go on the internet if there are absolutely nothing for me to do? Anyway, I was just reading articles related to the job...getting myself familiar with some vocabularies. But, no~ You'd rather have me staring on the walls and ceiling, looking like an idiot.

It is not reasonable to take for granted that a person is under our constant care (to the point that if we go on vacation, you'd think we're unresponsable people to leave that person alone), only because this person is living under our roof. This person, is also closely related to you...maybe even closer to you than me. I consider myself very generous to offer food and shelter to this person, unlike you who will only come visit once a year or won't even call.

Jeeez!!! I think it's time for me to stop right here, before I turn psychotic and start stabbing people in the eyes with a pen.
