Weather woman's announcing the quick arrival of Summer, which means, you might not hear from me for a while. Why? Very simple. Summer's also known as me-going-out season (my hybernating period is over). I mean, beside going to work every day of the week, I must enjoy every opportunity I can get to meet Mr. Sun and my friends, righ?

Hectic

My last week's experience's definitely something worth to share.

Yes. This is not an exageration. I'm sure I looked exactly as horrible as that woman, only with a less messy desk.

I got trained during two days in the operating room (aka OR) and surgery booking, then I was left on my own (because my mentor was sick and couldn't be there). Well, other people get 'two' as well, but 'two' weeks it is. Seriously!?!

(Beside this hell-ish dive into the fast-paced OR environment, I was forced to do an overtime, so including tomorrow, I'll be working seven days straight. The positive in all this, is the fact that I'm working and thus earning money instead of spending.)

Anyway, I'm not complaining, because I happened to manage the whole situation and figured things out. It was tough at first, but when everyone start to compliment you...you tend to forget all the pain by returning a smile.

According to my co-workers, I am a fast learner, amazing, a sweetheart, efficient, fantastic and a pleasure to work with. WOW! *surprised* Honestly, I think they really liked me...my teacher specifically asked for me to do her job whenever she calls sick or go on vacation.

See? I'm exhausted, but happy to be.

PS. I have to thank the person who let me go of Blue Cross...gave me an opportunity to find a better work-place, where I feel appreciated. Makes me happier and healthier.

Struggling

Everyone's very nice where I work. But...but...I want moooooore. Seriously. I want to achieve something more than just being an unknown secretary. So, should I remain where I am to wait for an opportunity or look elsewhere???

The Unrewindable

Do you ever talk to Tic-Toc God aka Time? Well, I do. In fact, I can consider myself a close friend of his.

Most often, I ask him to fastforward bad moments and pause good moments. Y'know!?! Like when you're watching a movie.

You have the choice to move on when you don't want to get bored while watching those cheesy scenes nor watching your favorite actor/actress die. You also have the option to freeze the screen whenever you want to capture a great moment. But, there's a broken key on your Life remote controle. My friend won't allow you to rewind. So, reliving a moment or change the script is out of question.

It hurts to see those stars turn into dust/ashes. Such a waste! In fact, I never understood why good and talented people have to die (mostly at a young age) and some useless rubbishes live a long lasting life!?!

My Family - Yu

Each family had and/or has important personas (at least one). I've always wondered why the Yu's have no one?!? That's why I did a quick search on the internet and we indeed have no legendary ones (not even in myths, legends, or tales).

I just wanted to point out that eveything has a solution...it just depends on how you see the situation and if you're willing to dig deeper to find a way to untie the knot. Moreover, no one will permanently hold your hand and tell you what to do...you'll have to learn on your own. Y'know!?! Power reserve:Circa 48 hours. This function is displayed using a newly designed differential power reserve system with a printed red line on a moving disc located between 10 and 11 o’clock.

Black Onyx baseplate: Onyx is a variety of cryptocrystalline quartz chalcedony composed of silicium dioxide, (SiO2). The rectilinear black and white parallel stripes version is part of the agate types. The fully black type is called Black Onyx, and is said to be able to deflect harmful energy down to the earth, while providing stability. For this reason, Black Onyx is considered as a charm-stone against spells. Black Onyx also symbolizes equilibrium and inspiration.

Bridges made of titanium: These components are in grade 5 titanium with black PVD treatment. This provides the whole assembly great rigidity, as well as precise surface flatness which is essential for the perfect functioning of the gear train.

Variable inertia, free sprung balance: The free-sprung balance provides better reliability in the event of shocks, movement assembly and disassembly. It also guarantees better chronometric results over an extended period of time.

Torque limiting crown: This additional security system prevents from accidental overwinding, which could cause damage to the winding stem or putting extreme pressure on the mainspring barrel. The crown is set with precious stones or semi-precious stones depending on the version.

Barrel pawl with progressive recoil: This device permits a profitable winding gain (circa 20 %), especially during the winding start, when the spring is not charged. It is also helpful in the distribution of the mainspring’s internal tension.

Case: In the world of horology, the case of Richard Mille watches is currently considered as the most difficult to manufacture. This tripartite tonneau-shaped case is fully curved, which enables the watch to be ergonomic and comfortable but is time consuming during its production and requires a high level of quality control. These front and back curves are part of the Richard Mille watch case regardless of their shapes (tonneau, round, rectangular). They demand ultimate precision and no stress in the metal. The bezel side and the case back have to be perfectly assembled in the case middle with no constraints, to prevent the sapphires from any damage. These manufacturing specifications required one year of research and development. The tonneau shape of the RM 051 requires 47 stamping operations including 21 for the forming. Tooling takes 4 hours and the RM 051 is obtained after 255 milling operations. The finishing process requires a full day for grinding, glazing and polishing. The tripartite case is water resistant to 50 meters, ensured by two Nitril O-ring seals. The case is assembled with 12 spline screws in grade 5 titanium and abrasion resistant washers in 316L stainless steel.
