THE flawless proposal (in a lady’s point of view of course) of all time.
Those of you who already watched Last Scandal of My Life know what I’m talking about and will surely agree.
A charming gentleman (Jong Jun Ho) and a household-competent/expert lady (Choi Jin Shil) in a basement…both in pyjamas…during night…here’s what happened…(from what I can remember)
*JJH hand out a box to CJS*
CJS: What is it?
JJH: What else would it be? It’s a gift. I prepared something you should like.
*CJS open the box*
CJS: Whats’s all this?
JJH: They’re bank documents you like so much. The real estate and insurance records.
CJS: Why are you giving this to me?
JJH: When we’re married, you’ll handle these anyway. I’m told that all wives manage these things.
CJS: Come on…marriage?
JJH: …I don’t want much from you. Just your heart. Is that too much to ask?
*moment of silence*
JJH: How much do you know about me? Do you know what my blood type is? My shoe size? My favorite colour? My favorite song? What I want to do in the future? I want to be the best in what I do.
*CJS takes JJH’s hand*
CJS: You’ll be able to.
JJH: Really?
CJS: Of course.
JJH: What are you best at?
CJS: I’m best at…cooking and laundry, I think. *pause* It can get tedious cooking and cleaning all day, always doing the same work. But, when people ask for my help…I feel needed, and it feels wonderful.
JJH: Really? Hmmmm…Now that I think about it, being a housekeeper was your call…Speaking of which, be my housekeeper forever.
*take her arm and put it around his neck*
*takes out a round diamond ring and slide it on her finger*
JJH: Your pay will be everything I earn.
*word less*
Awww!!! Isn’t that beautiful???
Note: Koreans are really good for romantic stuffs. A lot of Kdrama featured lots of great ideas, such as On Air, Hotelier, Beethoven Virus, Sister, and Princess Lulu are my favorites.
PS. My favorite on-screen love line was portrayed by 羅嘉良 (one of the best actors in TVB) as 丁善本/鍾天恩 and 宣萱 (one of my favorite actresses) as 程天藍 in 流金歲月. The 守護星 necklace he gave her and everything he did for her…*dribble* He IS the kind of gentleman you would and have to accept his proposal right away.
