Nightmare After Halloween

Halloween aka HSK’s birthday. We didn’t do anything on Saturday, because Nancy went to the Village d’Anten, I had to keep going with my report, and the birthday girl was sick.
Yesterday, Sunday November 1st 2009, in a fearly beautiful day, we did something OTHER than shopping, go to the movies and Starbucks…(with my effort of thinking and originality) we went to the Botanical Garden, Insectarium, Lantrern viewing, and Restaurant.
I’m so happy I can still have student advantages. I paid 10$ for the entrance fee instead of 17$. Wouhouuuuu!!!!
Quite honestly…vegetables’ not my field at all. The witch "show" sucked. Pumpkins were not as amazing as I thought (done my kids, not those awesome gravings). TSK.
The Insectarium was one hell of a nightmare. Despite some little cuties, tarentulas were also under the spotlight. O_O After this scary visit, I went to the souvenir shop and bought some flavoured (lemon, orange, strawberry, rootbeer, and cinnamon) honey (no insect candies) to compensate my fear.
Lantern viewing wasn’t in our plan, but randomly went into it. Now I regret we didn’t go there sooner; we didn’t have time to finish the tour. It was…gorgeous.
Reservation for Alpenhaus was for 1800…and we arrived there sharply (all under control, can never arrive late with me). The onion soup was good, but too much, didn’t finish it. The ‘Smokies’ saussages was TASTY…and the MERINGUE was DELICIOUS.
My plan to finish the day was to go see Saw VI. But…Nana and Mama wanted to go home…the movie only start at 2130 which is a little late for me (modern Cinderella, have to get home before 2300…to sleep).
The day didn’t go entirely as I planned…but it was still great. I had fun.
PS. Pictures are now available in the album.
